At Avosastories, we were honoured to collaborate with Digicel Foundation PNG and Tribal Foundation on their Men of Honour Campaign, a groundbreaking initiative that recognizes and supports men working on the frontline to break the cycle of violence in Papua New Guinea. From the start, we knew this was a project we wanted to be a part of—highlighting the strength, compassion, and leadership of these men.
One of the most moving stories we captured was that of Ruth Kissam, who honored her father, Pastor Kissam Kasen, for his role in shaping her as a leader and advocate against sorcery accusation-related violence. Through this video, we aimed to show that there are men in PNG who are working to build up the next generation with love, dignity, and respect, challenging stereotypes and creating lasting change.
The Men of Honour Campaign is a powerful example of how storytelling can shift public attitudes and foster a culture of non-violence and human dignity. We’re proud to support Digicel and Tribal Foundation PNG’s mission and encourage others to watch the video and keep an eye on the impactful work they continue to do.
